Mulberry Studio
1 Bree Street
This attractive gallery belongs to Jimmy and Anne Binos and does double duty as an Internet Café.
You'll be welcomed by two glossy Ridgebacks who will politely usher you to the door and inside. There at their busy-looking
desks you will find blonde-Nordic Anne, and darkly-Mediterranean Jimmy - and a generous wide-ranging selection of village
art.
Anne's work tends to be gentle in colour and subject matter, whereas Victoria Dryden makes a range of powerful
statements in her semi-abstract oil paintings. Christine Lawley loves clean clear lines and smooth bright colours,
and the cottagy oil paintings by Marianne Saddington make popular mementos of the village. Mulberry Studio provides
exposure for our beginner artists as well - this is an excellent service, considering that at the last count there were
30 such artists on our list.
Victoria Dryden makes a range of powerful statements in her semi-abstract paintings, exhibiting contemporary paintings in oil
and mixed media. Looking beyond the subject matter she draws the viewer into self-interpretation.
Christine Lawley loves clean clear lines and smooth bright colours, and the small cotttagy oil paintings by Marianne
Saddington make popular mementos of the village.
